Vicki Lynn McKnight’s faith was made sight on June 4, 2024, when she passed from this life into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Born August 5, 1956, to Howard and Bobbye Hopkins in Flint, Michigan. Even as a young child Vicki always had a heart for others. If you knew her then you knew if she had a dollar then you too had a dollar. If she had a sandwich, you had half a sandwich as well. She was always willing to help those in need. She loved deep and cared for others more than herself.
For over 46 years, Vicki faithfully served her Lord and Savior. Whether it was playing the piano for church, teaching a Sunday School class, or serving in the school, Vicki had a heart for kids. Her greatest desire was for every student to know they were loved, cared for, and had a purpose in life. Most of all she wanted every student to have a personal relationship with Christ. She served for 12 years at Birmingham Baptist Temple School, 9 years at Riverside Baptist Academy, and most recently 25 years at Heritage Baptist Academy in multiple capacities from the kitchen help to school administrator.
She is preceded in death by her parents Howard and Bobbye Hopkins, her brothers Steve and Brian Hopkins, Brother-in-Law Johnny Otts and her Son-in-Law Jonathan Price.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Stanley McKnight Jr.; her brothers, Rick and Scott Hopkins; her sister, Donna Otts; her children (and Spouses), Cari (Jay) Britt, Tré (Jackie) McKnight, Brooke Price, Emilee (Andy) Kahl, Aaron (Emily) Blocker, Alaina Blocker, and Adee McKnight; her grandchildren, Gavin (Zoe) McKnight, Rylee McKnight, Tatum McKnight, Austan Price, Grace Price; great grandchildren, Harper Kahl, Chandler Kahl, Jude Blocker, Ivy Blocker, Wren Blocker; and extended Family, Frankie (Abe) Hardy and children Elora Hickman, Emily Hardy, Katie Hardy, Adam Hardy, and Tyler Jack.
Her Love and Legacy will long be remembered.
