Petrick Russell

Petrick, (Patrick) Russell was born January 29, 1976 in Hinds County, MS  to Rosie Russell and the late Leroy Herring.  He departed this life March 15, 2024 at University of Mississippi Medical Center.  Patrick was reared by his great grandparents, the late Alonzo and Willie Ann Williams. He was preceded in death by his dad, Leroy Herring, one sister, Deloris Hughes, one Aunt, Pastor Linda Young and grandparents.

Patrick became a member of Wells Chapel M.B. Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. James McClenty.

In Patrick’s early years he attended Clinton Public Schools and later moved into the Jackson Public Schools District.  He went on to Job Corps of MS where he attained his GED and Transmission Tech Certification.

Patrick was a devoted active father to his daughters whom he loved very much.  

He was employed for several years at Republic Services and later went to Richards Disposal.

Patrick leaves to cherish his memories: 3 beautiful daughters, Madison, Morgan Russell of Jackson, Ms. Carla Ellis; a loving mother, Rosie Russell; one sister, Hattie M. Hughes of Jackson MS; four brothers, Christopher Russell of Utah, MS, Lorenzo Herring of Houston TX, Lee R. Hughes of Brandon MS, Jermaine Russell of Jackson MS;  three aunts, four uncles, great aunts, great uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
