Mary Louise Jackson (the third child out of 14) was born to the late George Jackson and Amy Brown in Mendenhall, MS on December 29, 1940. At a young age, Mary dedicated her life to Christ at G. Grove Baptist Church. Later in life, Mary became an active member serving in the choir and helping out in the kitchen when she was needed, at Mt. Olive M.B. Church where she attended until death. She departed her physical life on Friday, January 10, 2020 at University Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS at 4:15 p.m.
Mary also known as “Granny” was loved my many. When you met her you instantly felt her love and fell in love with her gentle heart. She never met a stranger and accepted everyone she met with an open heart and kindness.
She leaves to cherish her memory six children; Terrance, Wanda, Perry (Becky), Eric (Fannie), Bruce (Tonya), and Sara (Robert). Seven sisters: Mary Alice Smith, Mary Joyce Jones, Mary Joyce Brantley, Earnestine Hyde, Sarah McClammey, Ann M. Kitchen, and Carolyn Kitchen. Two brothers: Kenneth Kitchen and George Jackson, Jr. Twelve grandchildren: Deletha, Tasha, Willie, Darnell, Tramar, Ashley, Nicole, Breonna, Tristina, Michael, Sasha, and Juan. Twelve great-grandchildren, a host of great-great grandchildren, twelve nieces, fifteen nephews, and a very special friend Rosie Wilson.
She was preceded in death by one brother, three sisters, and one child; Murray Kitchen, Alice May, Willie Bell Jacob, Donna Furniss, and Adrian Antonio Goodlett.
