Lonnie Guyton

Lonnie James Guyton was born February 3, 1954, in Jackson, MS. He was the fourth child born to the late John and Eva Guyton. He departed this earthy life in the comfort of his home, Sunday, February 16, 2025. Lonnie was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, friend, and mentor. He enjoyed antique cars, motorcycles and all things outdoors. Lonnie received his education in The Jackson Public Schools, he attended Job Corp. He later joined the United States Army November 1975 as a communication operator and expert in riffles. After 3 years of active service in the Army he joined NAPA Auto parts. Lonnie was united in Holy Matrimony to Evelyn Teresa Laury February 23, 1991. He retired in 2016 from NAPA after working 36 years. Lonnie’s sister, Dianne Mosley, proceed him in death. Lonnie leaves to cherish his memories: a devoted wife, Evelyn Teresa Guyton, four sons; William Waples, of Byram, MS, Lonnie Antonio Waples, of Jackson, MS, Jeremy Guyton of Terry, MS, Jemaris (Shanquayl) Glutton of FortWorth, TX; 3 grandchildren; LaDarian Waples, Blake Oliver Guyton, Sydney Rose Guyton of FortWorth, TX, 5 siblings; four brothers; Calvin (Lena) Guyton of Madison, MS, Marvin (Mildred) Guyton of Terry, MS, John Earl Guyton, of Cambridge, OH, Jerome Guyton of Magee, MS,; one sister Debrah Roper(Fred Hill) of Cambridge, OH., a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
