Jertia Delois Evans was born June 24, 1997 in Jackson, MS to Daryl Evans and Felita Peace. Jertia had a bright, friendly, and positive personality. She was a free spirit who always had a smile on her face that would light up a room.
Jertia was very goal oriented and driven to succeed. She graduated from Mississippi State University in May 2021 with a degree in Fashion and Design, her passion. Her educational career began at Clinton High School, where she is a proud member of the class of 2016. After attending Clinton, she successfully graduated from Hinds Community College with an Associate Degree in Fashion and Design in 2018.
Jertia was also an entrepreneur. She created her own beauty and fashion brand “Touched By Tia.” She enjoyed designing clothes and developed a keen interest in cosmetology and aesthetics. Her persistence and zeal enabled her talents to flourish.
Perhaps most importantly, Jertia was happy and well loved. Jertia will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.
