Isiah Osborne

Mr. Isiah aka (Isaiah) Osborne was born on October 23rd, 1937 in Terry, MS to the Late Ozell Sr. and Burnett (Summer) Osborne. He was the oldest of 10 children.  Isiah was born into a huge family where he spent much of his childhood always around family and the great outdoors.

Isiah received his education in the Terry MS School District. He attended Perryman Elementary/Terry High School, where he met his “Childhood Sweetheart” Cloteal Osborne at the tender age of 13. Isiah and Cloteal married in 1956 and to this union, eleven children were added. Danny, Billy, Johnny, Vanessa, Bobby, (Twins)Charles and Charlene, DeShannon, (Twins) Leron and Sherhonda, and Katena Osborne. Isiah was a family man. He worked and provided for his wife and family, oftentimes losing sleep just to make sure each job he started was done right. He was also very charitable, not only looking out for his family but also helping others who needed it, without any need for recognition.

In 1970 Isiah was baptized in Jesus Name and filled with the precious gift of the Holyghost at Greater Bethlehem Temple Apostolic Faith Church in Jackson, MS under the Late Bishop Phillip Coleman, and in time under, Bishop Robert N. Fortson. Isiah faithfully served in the church for many years until he and his family started fellowship with Bethel Apostolic Church/ New Bethel Apostolic Church where his son, Bishop Doctor Billy Z. Osborne is Pastor. Isiah was ordained “Honorary Deacon”, where he humbly accepted his mission to serve the Lord and witness to anyone he met, to offer Christ to lost souls, and to uphold the Mission set forth by the Church through the word of God and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

Isiah was a hard worker; Jack- of- All- Trades and could fix or build anything from scratch.  In 1983 Isiah obtained his HVAC Certification from the Career Development Center in Jackson, MS. He obtained many skills that helped him to advance in careers, such as HVAC, Steel Worker, Construction Forman, and Concrete Finisher, until he Retired. Even so, you could still find Isiah any day of the week outside planting and harvesting from his garden. Although he battled sickness for many years, he never let that keep him down. He believed in and lived by the words: Occupy until I come. Which he did until his very last days.

Isiah passed at his home amongst his family surrounded by love, on February 29, 2024, at 12:35 pm.

Isiah was preceded in death by his children, Bobby Ray Osborne, Sherhonda Diane Osborne, Charlene Sutton, three grand-children, Isiah Osborne, Terrell Osborne and Brittany Osborne.
