Irene Bass

Irene H. Bass was born to the late Mrs. Irene Lamb and Hal Bass in Madison, MS.

Irene H. was educated in the Jackson Public Schools.  She accepted Christ at an early age.  She worked at Southside Assembly and Jackson State University as a cook.

Lord looked down from heaven and saw his precious angel that he created.   On the morning of May 6, 2024, Irene H. Bass departed this earthly place of pain and suffering and went home to find rest in the arms of the Almighty God.  Goodbyes are often hard to say, they hurt so much.  Though you’re gone, you will always and forever be in our hearts.

She leaves to mourn and cherish her memories: three children, Mrs. Dorothy (Sammie) Robinson, Ms. Gladys Powell, and Mr. Richard Bass; two brothers, Mr. B. J. Bass and Mr. McClinton Bass; grandchildren, Ms. Tamika Robinson, Mr. Lorenzo (Amanda) Bass, Mrs. Chiquita (Tony) Porter, Mr. O’Brian Powell, Mr. Eddie Powell and Ms. Regina Powell; great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter two nieces, four nephew, cousins and friends.
