Gloria Hunter

Gloria Jean Hunter was born on July 5, 1963, the baby girl of the late Mr. Henry Alex Hunter and Alean Hunter in Bolton, Mississippi.

Gloria attended V. L. Reuben Elementary School and graduated from Raymond High School.  After graduating from high school enrolled in the nursing program at Hinds Community College.  She worked at a nursing home caring for patients during her career.  Her church home was Word of Christ Ministry.  She enjoyed talking and laughter.  She was a very kindhearted person who loved to have fun.  Over the past years she babysat her family and friend’s kids.  She cared for other kids kike whey were her own.

Gloria departed this life on August 23, 2021 at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, MS.  She was preceded in death by Shanaka A. Thomas (niece), Henry Alex Hunter (father), Betty Jean Kelly (sister), Rella Hunter Jordan (sister), William Hunter (sister), William Hunter (brother), Lenard Hunter (brother), and Lamarcus Darius Kelly (nephew).

Gloria leaves to cherish her sweet spirit:  her mother, Alean Hunter; one sister, Rebecca Hunter Thomas of Bolton, MS; four brothers, Henry Hunter, Jr. (Rosie), Albert Hunter, Michael Hunter and Johnny Paul Hunter, all of Bolton, MS.  Her memory will always live in the hearts of her nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
