Ms. Emma Larry Thomas was born December 23, 1944 in Jackson, MS to the late Rufus and Luvicy Tangle.
She later met and married Earnest Thomas. Together they shared two loving children.
She attended Sallie Reynolds Elementary School in Jackson, MS. She attended and graduated from Jim Hill High School. She attended Jackson State University where she obtained a Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education.
After graduation, she moved to Waterloo, Iowa where she was employed by John Deere.
She accepted Christ at St. Philip Lutheran Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Thompson.
Emma Thomas leaves to cherish memories: one son, Earnest Maurice Thomas of Jackson, MS; one daughter, Dedri Thomas of Hollywood, CA; five sisters, Jovanda, Carolyn, Ruby, and Brenda of Jackson, MS and Diana of Stafford, VA; one bother, Rufus of Stafford, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death in her mother, Luvicy Tangle; her father, Rufus Tangle; and her sister, Barbara Tangle.
Emma loved being in the presence of family and friends,
