Samuel Earl Alexander was born February 12th, 1958 in Clinton, MS to the late Geneva Alexander and Cornelius Alexander. He is the oldest of twenty-nine children.
Samuel was nurtured, loved, and raised under the watchful eye of his village composed of Grandmama (Susie Mounger, Aunt Lillie Mae Mounger, Uncle Sherman Robinson, and the Vernon Road Community. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at a young age and was Baptized at Wells Grove Baptist Church in Clinton, MS.
Samuel lost his eyesight from glaucoma at the age of seven and received his primary education from Mississippi School for the Blind; His secondary education was received at Thee Jackson State University, where he majored in Recording Engineering. After accepting his calling to the Ministry of The Gospel of Jesus Christ, he Matriculated at the New Foundations Theological Seminary where he earned his doctorate degree in Theology.
In June 1978 Samuel met the woman of his dreams and On March 30th, 1979 heaven hooked them up and bonded Him and Janice Heard Alexander in holy matrimony. To this union three children were born.
In 1993, he was installed to pastor Magnolia Heights Baptist Church in Flora, MS where he served for 25 years. He later founded Kingdom Minded Baptist Church in Clinton, MS where he served until his passing.
Samuel was a man filled with love, integrity, passion, and purpose who loved God, Good Food, his family and friends. His heart was always open to love others and his arms were big enough to wrap them around all he came in contact with.
He leaves to cherish his memories his wife: Janice Alexander, father; Albert Cavett (Lula); three children: Ariba Alexander, Clinton, MS, Montevious Alexander (Patricia), Dallas, TX and Krashad Alexander (Meliesha), Naperville, IL, Four grandchildren: Ashanti, Ashton, Caleb and Riley Alexander two godchildren: Quincy Mcquirter (Callie), Michael Johnson Jr.; six sisters: Susan Alexander, Veronica Alexander, Angela Thomas (Tony), Rose Marie Cavett, Ginger Carpenter, Janice Floyd (Walter); six brothers: Albert Kenny Cavett, Ronnie Cavett (Belinda), Eddie Cavett (Faye), Johnny Cavett (Regina), Rocky Cavett, Tommy Cavett; two aunts: Marie Robinson (Bill), Maggie Bell Kelly and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
