Dereck Jackson

Dereck Allen Jackson was born to the late Elder Lonnie and Flora M. Jackson on October 1, 1971 in Jackson, MS.

Dereck attended and graduated from Byram High School.  After graduation he attended Hinds Community College Vo-tec Center.  Dereck worked at the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Ambassador Services for 19 years.

Dereck accepted Christ at an early age.  He was under the leadership of Elder Marcus L. Butler, Elder Clyde L. Rudd, and his brother, Elder Lonnie E. Jackson until his death.

Dereck departed this earthly life on Tuesday, September 12, 2023.

Dereck leaves to mourn and cherish his memories: two sisters, Phyllis and Jean; four brothers, Terry, Jerry, Lonnie and Leroy; three sisters-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Dereck was preceded in death by his parents, Elder Lonnie and Mother Flora M. Jackson.
